The Arizona Standards of Professional Practice outline the minimum requirements licensed home inspectors must follow when performing a residential home inspection in Arizona. These standards require inspectors to conduct a non-invasive visual evaluation of a home’s major systems and accessible components, including areas such as the roof, structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior and exterior features. Inspectors are also required to provide a written report identifying material defects, safety concerns, and recommended areas for further evaluation. The standards also define the limitations of a home inspection and help ensure inspections are performed consistently, ethically, and professionally throughout the state.
